Reviewing my insurance renewal I was rather concerned to notice burglary claims may be refused if window locks are not used overnight.
In my limited experience, all modern plastic windows are fitted with key operated lockable latches. No external handle so ingress requires breaking the glass or levering the frame. Neither impeded by turning and removing the key!
Going round this house before bed, turning and removing keys would seriously shorten the life of someone living with a wife from Suffolk!
Is this legal?
