'Doctors' today

And it didn't stop with the people, I heard that Ford sponsored it provided the ford cars were shown in good light while the jags and makes went faulty or failed in some way.

Congratulations on one of the most ridiculous 'points' you've ever tried to make. Quite an achievement.

The majority obviously do as far as Bill is concerned. How long was it before anyone other than white appeared in Corrie?

You can force people how to think, can you? Says it all about those who call others woke.

Ah - right. But being able to terrorise others due to their creed or race is a fundamental 'freedom' which over-rides this?

I do sometimes wonder what planet you live on.

Yes, I do disagree with you.

Imposition? Force? Those bastards!

Mike, you will no doubt come under attack from the vociferous minority but there will be many, including me, who agree with what you write.

Watched (FSVO Watched) this years ago,the most unrealistic things for me were doctors going to people's homes with their shopping , just for a chat(amateur psychology ?), with test results etc.

And I'd also hope we'd moved on from wimmins' place being in the home, doing the cleaning.

I had an excellent HOD at my last place of work. The type who kept everyone informed and asked for their views too.

He was slightly concerned that his department was all white male - except for one female. The company as a whole fairly mixed.

We had an average of a couple of training positions per year, and it was decided to allocate a percentage of interviews to BAME. And even went as far as advertising those posts in the sort of BAME publications that should attract the right potential skills, as well as the more mainstream meja. And didn't get enough applications to fill the 'reserved' positions at the interview boards.

Bill only whinges about the BBC. And invariably about there being more BAME than he wants to see - which would presumably be zero.

In fact the snowflakes are the most confrontational, always interfering where they have no right. Us anti-wokes just want to be left alone, and we certainly don't want to interfere with other people's lives. We don't go on demos and go out defacing monuments etc.

Like the 'panic' over Omicron. There was a 2 hour session on BBC parliament this morning and the expert from South Africa thought the UK was overreacting, while the Chinese prof expert on the vaccination committee say the booster should be given at 6 months for maximum effect, and no earlier. So who is behind the current Project Fear to get a booster ?.

I'd be very worried if my GP thought the results warranted that sort of response. I usually have no idea what any test results are until I look them up on the NHS App.

You have to remember that any fool can go to a demo and then claim that they are "fighting for <insert bollocks of choice here>". That was Jezza's claim to fame, if you recall.

You've got that exactly apex over posterior.

Err, what drama ever claims to be realistic? Do you think Casualty and Holby City more true to life - because they don't have the same proportion of BAME as Bill claims to have seen in Doctors?

Last time I worked in a BBC TV studio, the vast majority of the behind camera staff were white male. Not in the least representative of the population in that city.

Instead, you continually post on here about BBC bias and having too many blacks in front of the camera. On a group about DIY.

So wanting to influence others.

And that technique was somehow successful?

How do you regard BoJo's technique of lying at near every possible occasion? That was very successful for him - so far.

The concern is R=4 , rather than death as an outcome. There will be a lot more people sick. We'll be dealing with people who might not receive any help at all, to overcome it. (You'll be told to go home and take two Aspirin.)

The reality is, there's not a f*ck of a lot we can do. We'll be mask wearing and distancing again.

We really need an updated vaccine, with better targeting. Now, try and fit that into the timeline...

It takes three months, from sequencing a new variant, to delivering approved doses into a recipient arm (or nose for a vaporized version). You could probably get a sample dose of a better vaccine in a week, but without trials or approvals. So the staff at the plant, could already be immunized :-)

In three months time, the surge that overflowed the hospitals, will be gone, one way or another.

So really, we should have been updating the vaccine back in the Delta intro timeframe. The vaccine we'd have now, would no longer be focused on the Alpha variant.

But that wouldn't change the eligibility arithmetic. For example, I can't get a third dose until Jan.30. Which isn't going to help very much, because it'll take at least two more weeks for it to have an effect. And that'll be six weeks into the wave at that point. When everyone and his dog has it.

So yeah, if you're in government, you are probably running around with your hair on fire. Part of the problem, will be the state of the front-line doctors and nurses after this one passes.

Some of the doctors at my clinic seem to have quit, but I can't believe they are no longer practicing. They're more likely to have moved shop. The waiting room was full, the last time I was there, which was recently. And since the doctors don't say goodbye or a damn thing, there's no way to tell what shiny faces will be there next time. Maybe the assistants will be practicing medicine.
