Anybody else suffered from pruney fingers with no water ?...did B-12 help ? .....

No. Now take your fingers out of the glass of water and drink it.

what part of no water did you not understand ? ...

not into ribbed sex toys then ? ..,.

I would expect T i m to have pruney fingers from lack of B12 but not you.

Age does reduce B12 absorption but I would have thought you had a naturally balanced diet and have good levels. Pruney fingers can be a symptom of a B12 deficiency.

Are you sure your blood sugars aren't high? Perhaps too long in the bath?

Nah, his bathday's in October.

whether I need one or not ....

Post a photo of your shrivelled digits, or are they swollen with fluid ??. Not sure what you mean.

Ah, did you leave your fingers in too long ?

A far more serious (and irreversible) symptom is when your body steals B12 from the sheath surrounding nerves, leaving you with mobility and/or other issues.

So of all the whizzy ways to get pruney fingers, you selected the lazy way, the B12 one ? I think the others are a lot more interesting. Your body is trying to tell you something.

If you had a B12 deficiency, you'd probably have fallen over by now.

And it's easy enough to experiment with B12 if you want. You can get pills or shots, and they only give shots here, after you've had a blood test for B12. I've had enough blood tests here now, to have figured out my diet is deficient, and my digestive tract works just fine, as long as you toss in a bit of B12 into it once in a while. If you've had any blood tests for B12 in the past, you'd have a rough idea whether you were at issue or not. My first one was below band, and the doctor got all excited because fixing it was a lazy thing he could do and make money at the same time. But in terms of symptoms, I cannot tell today, any difference between then and now. And no pruney fingers either.

I waited three months, after starting on the pills, to ask the doctor to tick the B12 box on the form, when I was getting blood tested for something else. And then I had my final number, to tell me the B12 was back mid-band again. I didn't have a genetic issue, after all.
