I happen to have our Wahl trimmer right beside me...just been adjusting the blades and oiling it.

It came in a complete kit with spacers for different length of hair, etc., scissors, comb...

Got it from the 'factory shop' a mile down the road!

All I can tell you is that I use a pair of hair cutting scissors, a beard trimmer on a shaver and a comb to do mine. Its fine as long as you are not into hair styling just cutting. I am blind and manage it so it cannot be that hard you soon learn about layering and which bits not to actually cut that stick up in the aire if you do like a carrot top.

Every head is of course different, so I cannot really say about anyone else. The scissors are the key. they have two pointed ends and very accurate blades, el cheapo scissors don't work. Brian

My wife has cut my hair for the past 20yrs with one of those but had a major panic a couple of months back when she ran it up from the neck to the top of the head - without the comb spacer attached.

Obviously going for one of those silly cuts - I did feel a bit sheepish going to the barber to see if he could rescue the cut.

That's what I've used for a couple of years

I have to double check the tapered ear spacers, to make sure I get the actual left/right vs stage-left/stage-right correct while looking in the mirror.

And a silly cape?

Never use it.

Had to get some more oil recently - but Wahl UK is 500 metres away!
