Agreed, the battery quality makes a massive difference, although its also worth noting the posher Mak tools include their "Marathon" motor which punches well above its weight compared to other similar voltage spec motors. So a recell can make a massive improvement in a cheap tools performance, but it won't raise it to the level of a decent one since you will still have a cheap speed controller, and gearbox etc.
