Council Tax

I bet you don't though.

Nothing sly about it, though, is there Roger.

the big point that Reay misses is this - if I have the history he tried to claim, I couldn;t possibly have been in council-tax debt at the time he claims I was.

So was I a council tax defaulter or an ex-offender?

He's provided evidence of neither, of course...

No reason they should let people like you and me off- pensions aren't reduced etc. Plus, you keep telling us you've got more money than you know what to do with.

I had mine a week ago, and have already paid it.

You need to move somewhere less pikey. My council tax here in London about half that.

If you've got a back garden, you could do what Turnip and all the other yokels do, Dig yourself a septic tank.

However if you haven't got a garden, I'm not sure a window box would be much good,

Just think, one reason it is so high is because some refused to pay it- even after being take to court.

There needs to be some kind of register which ensures anyone who has a rent and/or Council tax debt outstanding they refuse to pay can?t rent or buy a property anywhere. Renting to them would be a criminal offence. If the own a property, it should be seized to settle the debt.

If the end up homeless, tough. They elected to be that way.

Just which cloud did you grab that from?

It's actually part of his sly harassment vendetta against an individual; he believes said individual got into a bit of bother catching up with his council tax some years ago.

I bet you think shop lifting ( theft) is victimless crime- it isn?t, it results in higher prices for others.

Yes mine came on 15th March, twice. No I don't know why they are wasting more trees either. Brian

Of course it does. But you'd need to provide figures of how much. Likely to cost a lot more to prevent it totally.

But you carry on thinking those who manage to evade paying the council tax makes it 'so high'. Since it suits your agenda.

So you approve if they don't get caught.

What a surprise.

Thanks once again for trying to put words in my mouth.

Your hatred of your fellow man is the surprise here. What caused it? Whatever - so sad to go around being bitter all the time.
