I bought a Bosch IXO cordless screwdriver, and it's got a lot going for it - compact, powerful, Li-Ion battery. I thought it would complement my full-sized cordless drill and save me having to switch between drill bits and driver bits all the time.
But there's no speed control. Pull the trigger and goes from 0 to full speed in no time at all. I find I just can't live with that. I always
*always* want to start slowly and build up speed (ooh er, missus).
So I think I've wasted my money. But looking through the catalogues of other drill/drivers I find that variable speed isn't mentioned. How can I tell before buying whether the trigger is a simple on/off switch or a variable speed control?
