condensation and false wall

I would be thinking about getting insulation in there too, not justleaving an air gap. I'm doing a similar project where the false wall comprises 1" airgap -> 2" Kingspan solid foam insulation -> 2" insulation-backed plasterboard; that's not as much as I'd have liked: if you can afford 10cm depth you could do that and more.

Hi, I have am extreme condensation problem in my bathroom. It is at the top of a block of flats where the roof and outside wall catch the wind and get very cold. There are also some cold water pipes running through it to other flats.

My proposed solution is to put a false wall and ceiling in there to reduce cold surfaces inside and hence condensation. The pipes would also be behind these.

Does this make sense? Should I leave an air gap or put insulation in the false wall/ceiling (I'm guessing the gap will be somewhere between 4-10 cm). I'm assuming I should use foil-backed board - would this be a better idea than t+g?
