However, 'they' stopped allowing dried fruit (raisins, etc.) to be coated in some form of liquid paraffin some time ago. Not sure whether the danger was cancer or something else.

Surely Sulphamic acid itself *isn't* an organic acid though most others sold as descalers are organic.

I am sure you are right, but actually what I wrote, coincidentally doesn't necessarily imply that I thought it was...:-)

Adding the brackets changes the sense of what you wrote which, by default at least, reads as "Sulphamic and other organic acids ...".

However we are splitting hairs here! :-)
