cellarcote

Has anyone ever used cellarcote or heard of it? How about other Sealocret products? I have a basement flat and the entrance is constantly wet/damp. The steps that lead to the house above appear to be leaking but we do not know where the water comes from. As a result the walls are damp and crumbling. We now want to use this product to seal the entrance way. Is it appropriate? Anyone have any other advice?

Best solution is to eradicate the cause.

Without knowing how these steps are situated? I suspect when it rains heavy the steps above act like a roof guttering and the rain overflows down the sides of the steps, ciould you not fix a guttering to the side of these steps and direct the water to a suitable location?

According to their website it's a water based 2 part epoxy system so it should perform well. Probably a bit pricey but their product range is well established with builders merchants. Note the advice in the data sheeet about crumbling surfaces.
