Ceiling Cornicing & Nitromors Textured Paint Remover

Hi,

We moved into an old property over a year ago and now want to re-decorate a couple of rooms. The main problem we have though, is the cornicing around the ceilings is covered is so many layers of paint that the pattern is hardly distinguishable!

We're interested in using something to remove all the paint to go back to the original plaster or whatever it is so that we can keep the original design and wondered if Nitromors Textured Paint Remover may be the answer.

Has anyone used it for such a problem, or perhaps, can someone suggest a working alternative?

Any help welcome!

Kind regards,

Steve.

I'm not sure any chemicals will remove the sort of paint you'll find on old cornicing. Older stuff should be water soluble, though.

A light spray of water, a scalpel and lots of patience
