IS IT OK FOR A NEW CARPET TO BE FITTED OVER THE TOP OF LAMINATE FLOORING OR WILL IT HAVE TO BE REMOVED FIRST

First, typing in caps is known as shouting on newsgroups and rather frowned upon.

I don't think you'd *have* to remove it, but doors etc might need trimming to close over a carpet as well. And it comes up easily.
