Cable hooks for mains?

Variety of J hook type systems for running network cables around appear to be available.

At the heavy end Ellis Patent appear to make all the cable hangers used by over and underground railways.

Get that network cables, until advent of 100W PoE ;-) , are unlikely to self heat enough to start sagging in between hooks and the cables used on railways are more like metal tubes with conductors down the middle, self supporting.

Is there a specific reason not to use cable hooks for mains cable in permanent installation?

100W POE isn't far away, and cable bundle heating is already a known problem, although not usually to the sagging between hooks extreme

Network cables might not take the localised pressure from widely-spaced hooks leading to deformation of the cable and reduced performance. And I suppose in a fire they might droop excessively. (18th Ed metallic cable support requirements apply to data.)
