Anyone tried this? It most certainly does not tear easily, or even with difficulty.

you expect everything called "easy tear" to be just that.
If you look at the video here:

you'll see they only show the tape being cut with scissors. If it's so "easy tear", you'd think they'd show that as a selling point.
