Bosch fridge drawer sliders

I recently withdrew a large vegetable drawer from a nearly new Bosch refrigerator. As I did so, part of the left hand slider fell onto the floor.

SWMBO hadn't seen but nevertheless yelled at me to be more careful.

When I tried to fit it back, I couldn't. There was no way it can be fitted unless the section attached to the side of the fridge was first taken off.

It isn't screwed on. It appears to be jammed in from above. I couldn't shift it by hand. I reckon it needs a tap from below with a light hammer, taking care to protect the side.

Before doing so, I thought I had better ask my betters on this group.

The best way to find out how the slides are secured is to use Bosch Home appliance website and go to this page;

Put in your appliance type and serial number and you will be presented with exploded views of your appliance and you hopefully should be able to deduce how the parts fit together. Be careful to enter the numbers carefully as there are hundreds of variations of each appliance.

Thank you. Unfortunately the diagrams are not detailed enough. Fortunately SWMBO realised it was still in warranty. The Bosch engineer is coming on Saturday.

There's probably a youtube vid on it.

There is always the point that it might have been faulty. After all, if my drawers all fell out in a new piece of furniture, I'd be onto where I got it from asking for it to be fixed or replaced. Brian

The exploded diagrams are too small to give detailed info. However, SWMBO realised it was still under warranty. The engineer came today.

Even he had difficulty. It had not been put together properly in the first place.
