Boiler installation

I'm confused, no change there!

highlights Boiler Plus 2018 which requires a 92% ErP from April 2018, though it's not clear what ErP is. I have looked and I have failed to find out what ErP means and its significance.

The planning portal:

gives a minimum efficiency of 86% for gas.

And what is most confusing the database of boiler efficiencies doesn't mention Boiler Plus 2018:

What are the rules about new boiler installations? Have they really changed?

ErP and EuP are energy-related and energy-using products, respectively.

says ErP stands for 'Energy-related Products', so the original link which says "The new minimum performance standard for domestic gas boilers in English homes will be set at 92% ErP" is nonsense if I expand the acronym!

For info I see EuP means "Energy-using Products".

Is that not what I said? Don't blame me if it doesn't make sense :-)

In that context I think ErP is a reference to the Energy Related Products _methodology_ for turning the performance of a domestic boiler into a single figure. That applied across the EU from the Energy-related Products Directive (also "ErP" for short!) in 2015.

It is, apologies.

I wasn't blaming for anything and appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.

It's just strange that a government document would use the term "92% ErP".
