Had a bulb fail today which tripped the MCB. And the dimmer - which had gone open circuit. I'm more used to the triac failing short circuit, so a new bulb works, but doesn't dim.
So had a look inside the unit. Obvious burnt out track on the PCB. Repaired with a bit of fuse wire and working again.
