BBTF26300 grill element

I've got an Electrolux cooker with the same configuration. I had to replace one of the two grill elements after it was struck by the grill pan while it was red hot and it buckled. I replaced that one (not difficult, it is only held in by one screw, but I used bulldog clips to hold the wires where I could reach them after detaching them from the element because finding them again if the disappeared back through the holes would be a major dismantling job). So I now have a newer one and an original one.

The old one is drooping slightly compared to the new one, so it does look as though they do distort after a longish time of being heated. I have pre-bought a replacement so that if it does fail I can immediately change it for a new one.

My oven element was drooping, but working ok. Until one day it decided to trip the RCD in the middle of dinner, and did that all the time after.

I suggest getting the element in stock, as it's probably on its way out.

I've seen it suggested that having a grill pan too near the element, or lined with foil (!), can cause overheating.
