Getting a new battery drill soon ? All my old ones are naff, probably battery failures - leaving them flat or leaving them charging? i dont know. (I prefer corded tools usually cheaper and more powerful and dont die.) thinking of this one - any advice anyone? Bauker 18V Cordless Brushless Combi Drill 2 x 2.0Ah £52

Not this one as it has no batteries or charger and costs a bit more
I've become very wary of many brands of cordless tools, having caught a cold when the batteries couldn't be replaced economically - if at all. I include own brands from the like of Screwfix - McAllister, Ebauer, etc.
- in that, and I wouldn't be confident in buying cordless tools from Lidl or Aldi for the same reason.
I've started to build a collection of DeWalt tools - which have all been good so far and which use readily available interchangeable batteries.
It's generally possible to re-cell any battery.
Big snag with Lidl is they tend to source from a variety of makers. Meaning it unlikely they'll have interchangeable batteries.
Be good to have legislation to have a standard fitting for similar spec batteries across makes. Fat chance, though.
the 18/20v bauker (toolstation), Wickes, and older parkside Ferrex batteries are all the same and interchangeable
