B&Q Web Site

Yep. My personal gripe is the ones that only list inventory that you can buy online, rather than listing everything that the company sells; quite often I want to look up details of what I can get from my local store without driving the 16 miles to get there, and it's frustrating when it's missing from the website.

Try telling that to a motor manufacturer. Their sites must surely rank as the worst ever.

It looks like they've got a fixed hierarchial structure and don't allow users to go sideways. There's nothing wrong with allowing a user to step sideways to a different branch of the breadcrumb trail, eg:

Home Home > Plumbing Home > Plumbing > Fittings Home > Plumbing > Fittings > Taps Home > Plumbing > Spares > Taps Home > Plumbing > Spares > Taps > Washers Home > Plumbing > Spares > Taps > Washers > 1/2"

Never needed to. If it's too hard to push it in with the cordless drill then I drill a pilot.

The fact that Mr Maintenance Bloke did not have a electric driver surprised me. My little Bosch blue is practically pocket sized and would do intermittent use until lunchtime easily, whence it could be popped on the charger.

A hammer?

I know this is an old topic but it comes up when you search for "B&Q search page doesn't work".

For a few months now the B&Q search page doesn't actually work in chrome fo r me. It perpetually loads, and never gives results. It gives results in IE . I don't want B&Q to force me to use IE. I assume this is a general issue because it happens both on my laptop and my desktop computers.

How can B&Q not have noticed that their search doesn't work for a large pro portion of internet users?

I get around this by using google - search B&Q circular saws, or B&Q perlit e.

Actually that's probably quicker than using B&Q in the first place if you h ave specific product in mind.

Do you have any extensions installed? Try disabling them. I know I don't get reviews on the Screwfix website if I have extensions running. Never bothered to try to find out which one is causing it.

Have you told them? Someone needs to do that, if not, they won't know.

Ditto in firefox for me, I thought it might be an AdBlock thing.

Ditto, gives better results for most web sites e.g.

"perlite site:diy.com"

etc
