Blame the government, blame industry, blame the public. Tradesmen have been scorned for decades in this country. School leavers see it as dirty work, other see tradesmen as dishonest, slipshod and ill educated. I'm a gas engineer with nearly thirty years experience. I could work morning noon and night if i wanted to. The public get what they deserve. Still the government and industry have not learned though as they have connived and schemed to produce cut price tradesmen by creating half arsed training schemes and qualifications which are a poor replacement for the old CGLI backed craft apprenticeships..

Oh yes,i sit back and chuckle to myself. Still,i had the benefit of nearly six years worth of training under British Gas,when they were a well funded, quality operation that was second to none,at least in training ..
