Are selection packs of drop valve washers available?

With the increasing use of WC flush 'drop valves' there is a need to replace the washers. These valves are the sort that are in a column and have two buttons on the cirstern lid.

I have already discovered that every manufacturer/design has a different size and thickness of washer...

So has anyone seen a selection pack of spares yet?

No I have not ,but just replaced a Grohe washer assembly at a cost of £8.51 not very happy with the service from Plumbase either who sold me the original, told me the last one they ordered took two weeks to arrive and I would be quicker to get in touch with them myself,3 emails one phone call and 4 days later I finally managed to get the tele number of the parts dept,to his due he sent it out right away and it arrived next day.

For a hideaway cistern that cost £75.00 and only two years old and in non hard water area, the moral is make sure you get spares before you buy.

This is my fear. Every unit is different, this compounds matters. They seem to let by even though the 'old' washer is still quite flexible.

I am pissed that they will not sell just the washers but I need to purchase the whole bottom section of the valve, and because of the construction of the cistern body I have no option as no other flap valve will fit or I change the cistern but as it was designed to fit behind a false wall it was made to fit.

grrrrrrrr

The message from Ed Sirett contains these words:

How long before we get "ceramic bogwashers"?
