Anyone here have any old GEC electric motors?

Good evening folks, adjusting the belts on my Norsaw table saw today I found that one of the electric motor mounting feet has parted company from the foot casting. Sadly, this leaves the motor hanging on by 2 bolts and a clamp. Not very good. And a p**s poor design.

This is a GEC Electromotor 3ph 2.2KW motor. Size is (from memory) D90L. Fortunately the foot castings are bolted to the motor frame. Unfortunately I am struggling to find parts. I don't know if foot castings might be a standard size. My jaded mind thinks this unlikely.

If anyone has a scrapper with useable foot mounting castings I would gladly pay for them. Or a suggestion as to where I may get spare parts. Either or both would be very much appreciated. Can supply pics and dims if someone has summat that may do the job.

Removal and welding is a last option. It's a light casting and I don't know if it could be adequately done.

Many thanks, Nick.

Hard to suggest much without a picture. Generally speaking there's no real need to duplicate the original exactly, making it not hard to make new mountings.

TBH if it is a crappy Mezak casting i'd glue it together with 'liquid metal' or similar

Much to my dismay this is a crappy casting of mazak (aka zamak). Pisser. I'll probably knock up a couple of steel foot mounts. Thanks, Nick.
