Closely followed by, "this is your left /right hand", "clockwise is derived from an analogue clock, which coming from the smart-phone generation you probabbly didn't know", "tighten the screw/bolt by turning clockwise".
And when the apprentice turns around you'd have to explain that you meant turn the screwdriver cloakwise not yourself !
do you do 35 hours "working time" as a apprentice? Do college days count as working time?
no, its because some of us are colour blind.
around 30 is the norm. I rounded up to 35 on account of the 07:00 starts.

Colour blindness was tested at my *technical electrical* apprentice interview.
4 years, initially day release leading to block courses at what is now the University of Hertfordshire!
