Looking at thermal stores as a hot water solution for a 3 bed detached,
1 bath at present, with plans to add an en-suite. Only 2 people living there, but we expect to have plenty of guests, and we want to be able to market it as a family house when we eventually sell (a while, we've not actually moved in yet!)
Now, an Albion thermal store is around the 600 quid mark from thesheatingshop.co.uk. I've just had a quote from DPS for a HeatWeb Pandora - at 1104 plus VAT. For what looks to me to be pretty much the same thing.
Is the Heatweb really much better, or just expensive?
I had a look at range cylinders, and like the look of the Flowmax because the heat exchanger is external - and therefore replaceable. Can't find anyone selling these though - there's a list of stockists, but the ones which have websites only seem to sell the pressurised cylinder options that seem to be popular in new builds.
Anyone got any recommendations for anything?
Also, given that an Albion seems to be a relatively simple and cheap solution, why do the new builds all go for megaflow pressurised cylinders with the ensuing complexity? It can't really be cheaper can it?
