Breakfast? What is this breakfast of which thou speakest? Its 5 pills , a glass of water or coffee and an inhaler for me.
Until 6pm
I have done but I’m not a fan of tomato soup. I made some when we had a glut of homegrown tomatoes to see if homemade would convert me.
I do like Gazpacho.
I tend to make Turkey soup / Chicken soup using the carcass and ‘odd’ bits of meat. Potato and Leek, Pea and Ham. Sometimes vegetable. Senior Management likes pumpkin soup so I sometimes make that.
I make it in (fairly) large quantities in my Instant Pot them freeze it.
I think Brian meant "doesn't compare *to*". Anything can be compared
*with* anything else, even apples and oranges, but there isn't much point.
I find restricting my intake to 600 kcal on alternate days effective, and bearable long term.
I often compare apples and oranges and find that there's a clear colour difference.
That sounds so good I may do it soon.
I should know better than to bicker with people on the cooking ng.
That wouldn't have helped me. Or helped Bob F, who I think interpreted it backwards. For him and maybe me, they leaves open the question of which is better.
True. rec.food.cooking does NOTHING but bicker constantly about food and everything else. lol

4 pills here. One of which is to protect my stomach from the dispersible aspirin prescribed as an anti stroke medicine. Supposed to make my blood less sticky. It does that so well that minor bumps show up as bruising and cuts take ages to heal:-(I have managed to lose 6kg weight after the medical profession criticised my blood pressure. 140/75 is not bad for a 79 year old in my view!

There used to be a rule about the higher number having to be less than
100 plus your age but thats now since been tightened to 120 / 80 IIRC
Oh the stomach pill is No 7. I take it before certain foods. Tomatoes are espweciall bad. Then 8 and 9 are evening pills. One of which gibes me interesting nightmares, especially if I fall asleep listening to audio books.
Damn good, Tim. Mine is very brittle. I can better that at absolute rest, but any stress or activity has it shooting up.
In America do you mean? Where Big Pharma want to sell as much drugs as they can? In the UK the maximum is still 140/90.
120/80 is healthy for young fit people, 140/90 is where they try and get you if you are older and have arterial or heart disease.
That is 140/90 is not a sign that you are healthy, but it's well into 'this wont kill you' levels.
Lots of depressing reading there. Reminds me of the old aphorism " The French live to eat, the English eat to live"
Indeed. Back on the d-i-y front supper was fish and chips followed by a salad largely from our garden (lettuce, cucumber, radish) tomatoes have a long way to go yet.
Merkins want men to have their prostates removed on the basis of unreliable PSA tests.
They mention the infertility, but not the (inevitable) impotence, or the (likely) incontinence.
