A proper recommendation means actually having used something - not just reading the spec and looking at it in a shop. But then you're good at that...
I've heard of people buying the display item when the shop has run out of stock, but buying the display item online must be a first :-)
(And had to be purchased in a specially licensed shop.)
That's no more relevant than their private labelled power tool products to someone intending to shop at Screwfix.

Ask a maintenance shop about a "short block". That's basically a new motor, block crank and piston. All other parts will come from your own motor.
The odds and ends shop near me sells them for 65p each. The last about 3 years and that will do me. Sod this modern stuff.

They are about £17 inc VAT at other places (including one I shop at). It's still a bit steep but at least it is not vertical!
