Apple tree Care

Just got an allotment after a three year wait, I have found two mature and two immature apple trees, Not sure if they are cookers or dessert, There are small fruits forming and the base are covered in weeds. How best to care for them between fruiting and picking please? Cheers ears. CJ.

Deer & Apple Trees?!

What should I do to keep the deer and other animals from eating my newly planted apple trees. The trees are only about 4' and very small. We live in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan and on a ravine that gets quite alot of deer traffic.

We have an old crab apple tree. While there are some dead limbs in the tree, a tree of similar size and age recently died and had to be taken down.

Bark Loss on Apple Tree Limbs

While I hear many stories of a 300 year old oak tree, I 've never heard of a 300 year old apple tree. So say good bye and remove the apple trees by digging them up and burning every single piece of them. You don't want the diseases it harbors to infect your new stock.
