Miter saw accuracy, how much do you need?

With that in mind, I'll add that my miter saw gets 95% of it's use cutting rough hardwoods to length in the shop. The only precision cuts I use it for are outside the shop, doing on-site finishing. All of my cuts that count, in the shop, are done on my table saw.

Wet phone

I went to the Orange shop and they suggested it was Orange had switched it off for lack of activity. Phoned Orange, who told me it was a phone problem and that I should visit my local Orange shop. Can't get to one till Thursday. Dave

Garage door weather strip ideas

Forget the big box stores and visit a family-owned garage door installation/repair shop. They will have access to just about any type of weather stripping and be more than willing to share their expertise with you.

HELP - Interior Paint Job Going South!!!

Go visit a real paint shop and ask what they use. Basically it is on a broom handle and may be the same as what sheet rock guys use. repairs paint

cheapest wood i can use to make patio furniture

If you're in the shop for fun and the finished product is just an excuse to be in the shop then free lumber or free anything else is goodness.

Keyless Entry - security

Would seem fairy logical to me that if you want to use your card of choice you'd swipe that? In much the same way as you'd choose the credit card you wanted to use in a shop? Just swiping your wallet with several cards in it would be an odd thing to do.

Saw about this on this site on 11 23 09. Looked like what I needed to gain shop room. Get rid of a large work table. Received it a few days ago. Very impressed. Ordered 2 more for gifts to our sons. They also are short on shop space. WW

If you look at their Ebay shop details there is a link to their bricks and mortar shop and to their own web site. https://secure.thetoolman.co.uk/Interestingly, though, they don't have the Makita Impact driver listed there. I would call them, ask why and if satisfied, buy it ...

Advice on squeeking squirrelcage motor

A used furnace fan can be had cheap or free... The one in my shop is 12 years out of a 30 YO furnace, and still runs fine. It was free.
