Design for my garage shop

You really don't need to install a disconnect for a dedicated circuit to each machine in your home shop. Is your shop in a garage?

Simple Dust Collector Question

Stick with the shop vac. Add a jointer, stick with the shop vac. If you ever add a planer, then go for a dust collector.

OT - Neighbor borrows tools and doesn't bring back

Same goes at my metal shop, you can use the shop and tools but nothings free. I have power, heat and consumables tied up in the shop it's not free to me.......

PVC or Metal Dust collection???

I think you mean the higher static pressure of the shop vac. I highly doubt a shop vac has a higher CFM than a DC.
