Pool pump has leak in threaded part. Any idea how to fix the leak?

The white PVC pipe of my pool pump is leaking at the threaded coupler. It is a new piece but there must have been a problem where the pipe ran dry and burned it. Does anyone know of anything that will fix the leak temporarily (for about a month or so) until I start running it again next spring?

Yep, installing it correctly will fix it...with thread sealant. You should have a Union Fitting before the threaded fitting, for easy servicing. if not, then that's what you start with now or in the spring. It's just a few minutes to cut out a section and glue the right fittings in, permanent and much better than smearing Silicone Caulk or Shoe-Goo all over the leak
