Best place to ask is at a paint store. Every brand has different recommendations written on their paint cans regarding application over different materials. If you follow recommendations then you have some recourse if it fails. I have a brand that I prefer and they advise a…

Every brand has different recommendations written on their paint cans regarding application over different materials. If you follow recommendations then you have some recourse if it fails. I have a brand that I prefer and they advise a deglosser over oil base prior to latex.
