The last yard sale I went to was about 30 years ago and I bought a vacuum cleaner. I asked the girl who was probably a Japanese coed going home for the summer if it worked. She said yes, but it sucked too much. It was pretty aggressive.

No kidding. I bought one of the cigarette lighter versions to swamp out the car and it certainly sucks. I've got a Black & Decker Dustbuster down in AZ that's about 35 years old and that one really worked.

I don't fool with any of that. I had an old panasonic carpet beater that I nursed along for years until enough s*it broke in the carpet head I gave up. My wife bought some Mehli (or something) that uses bags she won't even tell me what cost but I still had the Panasonic and the sucker part was fine. I took off all that stuff and just have the motor blower filter module on a GI shoulder strap off of something (Cheaper than Dirt thing) Plug the hose in with one extension on it and you got you something. Best part, the bags are cheap and I have a case of them. You can fill a bag with dog hair here every couple days. It is also good for the car, boat or whatever. Unlike that German thing stuff goes straight from the hose to the bag. There is nothing in there to plug up. I know way more about the inside of a kraut sucker than I wanted to.

These days, over-the-counter retail shipping rates have gotten so high that it's hardly worth trying to sell anything online any more.

Keep what you need then load them into a Prime box and stick it by a road. It will magically disappear, if that doesn't work go to Miami.

Hey, you just gave me an idea. Since I conjecture Dust-buster filters are hard to get just use covid masks. It might be SOME use for them. Either that get a shitload of DB filters and sell them to the DNC crowd. Micky will buy in.

Is it ethical to sell used masks to the DNC crowd?

I scored a Browning compound bow today at a yard sale for 15 bucks . Has a sight , needs a string and some cleanup . I need to machine a couple of washer/spacers to replace some plastic ones that are broken but other than that it looks pretty good .

Just be sure it fits better than they do on your face. The University of Waterloo (Canada's MIT) says in a study

"The study showed that most common masks, primarily due to problems with fit, filter about 10 per cent of exhaled aerosol droplets. The remaining aerosols are redirected, mostly out the top of the mask where it fits over the nose, and escape into the ambient air unfiltered."

You boys need to get your story straight. If masks are only to protect the wearer, why are they mandatory?

I have a fitting use. I really hate it when I'm spraying with a rattlecan and get the paint in my nose hairs and beard. The masks aren't big enough to hold all of my beard but at least I won't have that sticky feeling in my nose.

I'll have one of those built in a couple of days ... well , something similar . I actually have everything on hand to make a device , probably based on a bigass turnbuckle I have out in the shop . I was thinking along the lines of a board with a couple of sturdy uprights and a clamp in the middle to pull on the riser but this solution is much easier .
