yard sales.

The general idea works great. I've got a Diamond Infinite Edge. The draw weight is easy but setting the draw length requires messing around with the cams. This year's Infinite 305 say it can be set without a bow press. The name comes from 305 FPS where the Edge claims 310. No big deal for me. I also needed to tie in the peep.

My recurves are right handed but I was having a little right eye problem and decided to see how the other half lives with a left handed compound. No big deal since I shoot long guns right handed and handguns left handed.

I got new glasses so I can kick the cataract surgery further down the road so I took the recurve out for the first time in three years. You wouldn't want to be anyplace down range for the first few but it came back pretty good. I like that bare bow feeling where the arrow goes where you're looking without all the fancy stuff.

Welding and plasma cutting stuff that you can find at estate sales are sometimes good deals. I know the AFL-CIO doesn't want me to say that, though.

OK so you are wearing a mask, shut the f*ck up if I am not. You think you are protected.

I got it apart w/out a press ... getting it back together is another matter . I'll need to either make or buy something . But I did manage to machine a couple of "washers" to hold two of the pulleys . Mine have a sleeve so the screw doesn't bear directly on the limb where it's mounted . I think this thing is going to need some tuning once I have it back together .

I'm just the opposite , I shoot pistols and bows right handed , rifles left . I'm actually cross dominant , left handed with a stronger right eye .

I haven't had my recurve (or compound) out for a while . My backstop keeps getting turned into mulch for the garden . When I got this bow I was intending on giving it to my neighbor . I'm starting to waffle on that , I might ... well , he's going to get it .

OK do what you want, just leave me out of it.

Yeah, they need some tweaking. It took a couple of passes to get the draw length where I wanted it.

I am, or was, cross dominant too but a little macular hole problem with my right eye rained on that parade. Surgery helped but if I look through a scope the cross hairs aren't exactly a cross. I've gotten better at figuring out where the actual cross would be.

My parents never cared about me being left handed but my father taught me to shoot a rifle right handed. I doubt it was a conscious decision, just how he learned, The Western Field semi-automatic .22 tended to reinforce the decision.

Guitars and banjos are the same. I never thought about it, just did it like everybody else. I'll never be good at bluegrass because I don't have the speed for rolls. No big deal since I prefer the Dock Boggs style

He plays the melody he is singing so it's never a super fast tempo. Sometimes he does the roll and upstroke between verses, sometimes mostly the upstrokes.

The Timber Rattlers played at the festival yesterday and I was watching the banjo player. No way I can do that. Hell, I can't even play a guitar like that.

It gives you an excuse to use your booger hook to fish that lunger out...

Go to a GOOD auto parts store and look for door hardware they have plastic washers and stuff. ACE may have some too... But if machining is your forte, go to it.
