True. However dryer sheets are not good with septic systems. I use balls of crumpled tinfoil in the dryer with the clothing, which achieves much the same effect and costs almost nothing since the balls last forever.

How do dryer sheets end up in your septic tank?
They don't. The residue on your clothes does.
Most fabric softeners contain quats, which have antibacterial qualities.
(quaternary ammonium compounds)
Simple. The used drier sheets are nice and soft so people can use them for toilet paper. Easy on the tush, hard on the septic system.
Must take a bunch of them.
Makes you question what that is doing to your skin.
