Whirlpool dishwasher screeches

One month after the warranty runs out? That sucks.

Does it squeak constantly? Try taking out the spray arm and run it. It could be something as simple as that, but it could be the pump, etc.

If the moise is from the motor part of the wash motor and pump assy, it usually has an extended part warranty....often 3-5 years :)

More often than not something ( bone, bag tie, ect ) has gotten down inside the pump assy that shouldn't be inside the pump assy and it hits/rubs something making the noises.

Someone would have to investigate to see if something has indeed gotten inside the wash assembly.
