Is it from too many or too heavy clothes, filter uncleaned, vent tube stuffed, cold weather, or what else could be the problem? WHat are the fixes.

All of those and not getting hot. That is step one. Is it heating? Did you check the filter?

Electric dryer or gas ?

Is the dryer getting hot as usual or blowing luke-warm ? - flip the breaker off - on or check fuses.

When the outlet vent is badly clogged, you might notice the laundry room being very humid. This situation can be a serious fire hazard ! Outside the house - check the grill on the outlet vent for lint build-up and check that the flapper is free. If the flapper is stuck there is likely a serious build-up behind it - clear it all out and re-check it after trying the dryer again. If the outlet is obstructed by a lint build-up in the dryer -

- another serious fire hazard - it might require a service call or DIY remove the back panel and check things ; clear all the lint and vacuum it out. Good luck. John T.

Could be any of the above except for cold weather (unless the dryer is in an unheated garage). At normal indoor room temperature range, humidity tends to be lower in the cold weather than in warm or hot weather unless you run the air conditioning in the summer to produce temps in the 60s or very low 70s Fahrenheit or you have a super efficient humidifier running in the cold months. The normally lower humidity of the intake air to the dryer in cold weather should actually cause the dryer to be more efficient, not less.

I have fixed a couple "poor drying" driers by blowing out the air passages with compressed air or a leaf blower. Best to do this outside. Blowing out the vent piping could help too.
