What to put on the ground cover fabric?

Sedum or clover. Needs no care, never needs mowing.

We are the high desert. I have tried to get group cover to similar to that to work. The high heat and low humidity and the 5 inches of rain a year, they won't grow. But the cheat grass and other weeds love it. So I need to put down barrier material. Just need advice on something an old man an afford and also lift to put on the barrier material.

The post seems like a hoax .. but whatever .. If you are actually considering $ 6. per sq. ft. tiles - maybe you have unlimited fiinancial resources ?

If so - just do what your wife wants - easy-peasy.

Otherwise - hire a local person to do it - _ someone who knows your climate & soil _ conditions .. rather than forcing this world-wide group to tediously squeeze all your details from you .. Duh ! John T.

Not those tiles. They are too expensive. Just the idea of something like that. Maybe.

If I could figure out a way to keep the cover down and just walk on it, I'd be happy !

How large is the area to be covered ?

About 800 sq ft

I have come up with a workaround.

The goal was weed control and keeping blowing dust down.

The weed control I will be using is hydrolyzed corn gluten:

And, checking with the manufacturer, the sealant action does keep blowing dust down. I will have to spray several times a year, but I am going to have to do that anyway.
