What sort of thing uses this? How does it work?
Or is there one input and 4 outputs? Woudl there be one of these for hot water and one for cold?
There are some youtubes on installing it. You should be able to infer the answers to your questions from them.

Those are the outputs, The input is a hose fitting on the left side. Look down at some of the other examples lower on that page. Why they need to route water 4 ways is a question someone who works on new washers can answer.
Water comes in on the hose connection (large thread with flow reducer) and goes out on whatever small output port the washer calls for.
1 input - 4 outputs. No need for 2, the mixing valve at the input controls the temperature.The multiple outputs is so that the washer can send water where it needs it, e.g.
1 - Into the tub 2 - Into the detergent dispenser 3 - Into the softener dispenser 4 - Into the bleach dispenserMy dispenser looks like this - three compartments, 1 each for 2, 3, and 4 above. Water comes in and pushes the product into the tub, diluted with water.
It's a poart for numerous LG washing machines - directs water to the tub fill, soap tray, softener tray, etc. Likely one for hot and one for cold
