Saw this articles about two more people falling to their death in the Grand Canyon
Where is Congress when it comes to important issues? There should be regulations on canyon depth. Beside, we can use the landfill space.

That used to be what I liked about the west, stupid people could kill themselves there and nobody gave a shit. They are going to turn it in to Nerf World where there are safety rails and restrictions on everyone, just because a few eastern snowflakes, who will never go there anyway, are shocked.
It is actually as stupid as the government requiring a fence around a swimming pool where there is a sea wall 25 feet away and a river you could drown in. The fence they require won't even keep the gators out of the pool.
We drove to the North rim and later to the South rim one day. It reminded me of seeing the Atlantic ocean the first time.
"Some how I thought it would be bigger than this"
The Navajo natives.
Yeah, and he cheated. It wasn't a motorcycle but a rocket...
You're right. 8 feet seems like more than enough. That's if the surface is somewhat soft without rocks. If it's hard, 3 feet.
And the people who make culverts will be happy too.
Darwin working his magic, one imbecile at a time.
Yah, won't be long and OSHA will require a life vest when using the toilet.

Darwin award candidates.
I'm sure that would be Phantom Ranch.
This entire thread is a perfect example of idiotic rightie hysteria. Amazing nonsense!
"A full bladder is a container of liquid. We won't let you on the plane until it's emptied. We use catheters to make sure."
Far worse - You are a trumptard.
I'm a taxpayer who believes everyone should be a taxpayer. Unfortunately we live in a world filled with lazy welfare obamatards.
We live in a world where human nature takes its course over time. The people in power know they keep power by promising "free" whatever. The beneficiaries will naturally vote for them. True democracies don't survive over time. Wasn't the first U.S. income tax introduced with the promise that it would only be the top 1% or so paying? Didn't the Jamestown settlers try some sort of collective farming only to be reminded of human nature? People were a lot more productive when they had the profit motive.
How about taxes do support crooked lazy welfare Republicans , and to make the richest of them richer - and taxes to pay for the security for the crooked lazy welfare republican -in-cheif and his crooked lazy family as they galivant around the world and back and forth from their "security nightmare" Mar-a-Lago resort?
"He's not taking any pay" you say??? The increased security costs for this presidency more than make up for the salary he is not taking (even if it is true that he's not taking one) and the "grifter in chief" is counting on making a WHOLE lot more than his salary by "boosting his brand" and through profits for his companies arrizing from his presidency.
And who's paying for the extra security?????
The AmericanTaxPayer
At least he is not selling out the government like the girl you voted for was as secretary of state. She came out rich as well as did your former chief.
Glad that did not happen to us. It happened to us in Yosemite when we drove up to look down on the Yosemite valley. Then the Donner pass got snowed in so we could not drive to Tahoe. I can cite other views hindered by weather.
Yeah I am surprised the lefties never questioned how the Clintons went from being "flat broke" (Hillary's words) when they left the white house to having hundreds of millions of dollars in a decade and a half.
FWIW, one can easily get to Tahoe without going anywhere near the Donner Pass. hiway 207 from south of carson city if you're on 395, otherwise take 50w from carson city or 50e from sacto. Both can also be closed by snow infrequently, and may have chain controls more frequently during the snow season.
