Toro Snowblower Starter

Jan 06, 2006 2 Replies

Hi I just purchased a Toro 824 snowblower. It is used and didn't come with a starter, so I purchased one. The cord to the push button is only about 12" long, and has two holes with a "flat" back on it. The only logical place to mount the starter button is on the lower portion of the handle, but flat on round doesn't seem logical. Where was it intended to be mounted? Any ideas?

Thanks Dave

The push button is usually mounted on the flat section of the fan-shroud on top of the engine (at least on the Tecumseh they are). If it's a snow king, there may even be mounting holes already drilled into the top of the shroud.

Thanks a bunch. There weren't any holes, or my delima would have been much simpler. That seemed like a great spot, so that is where it is.

Thanks again Dave
