JD sells a hybrid tractor. Think prius.

I paid about $ 4500 Canuck-Bucks a few years ago for my zero-turn Ariens 23 HP 52 inch deck

I coulda had an electric Gravely for $ 50,000. John T.

You can safely run 50:1 with the new synthetic "?smokeless" 50:1 oil. The adjustment ptocedure is open the screw untill it "4 strokes" then turn it in untill max RPM and out 1/8 to 1/4 turn

Interesting how Gravely is now part if the Ariens group - - -

I looked for an EV rider when shopping to replace my old WheelHorse - not much available in Canada at that time. Cub Cadet offered a low-end tractor style ; big box had a cheap-ish zero turn with a whopping 1 year warranty on the battery .. Hence the gas burner. If I were younger and willing to do the repairs, I'd still have the WheelHorse 520H - a sturdy unit with a 20 HP Onan. John T.

Fine on that 50:1 with the new oil. I use about 40 or 50 to 1 (not a very careful mixer) in my other 2 cycle engines. On youtube there is a woman that repairs small engines for a living called Chickanic that shows how to adjust the engines with a tackometer. It is about what you say just with the meter instead of by ear. It will be good to get away from that 16:1 smoking saw. I have not done it yet, but I think I am going to switch to the Red Armor oil for the mix as soon as I run out of the oil I have now.
