Stucco and Windows

I'm wondering about stucco around windows. It seems to me that once the stucco is done, replacing the windows would require sawing into the stucco--correct?

Pretty much. But replacement windows fit in the existing frames and are pretty much the same thing as a new window.

Depends on the windows. Some older ones can be replaced by taking out the sash and putting in a few framed section.

If I was having them replaced I'd want to see how another job was done by the contractor to be sure of what I was getting.
