There has been a recall of Slow cookers sold only at Walmarts where there is some reports of problem and getting hurt from the use of it. They were sold sometime back about 2003 but not sure of dates. If you did not buy your slow cooker from Walmarts the recall is not for your model or brand. the number for info is 1-888-293-3343 which Walmarts set up to deal with this matter.
