Sears closing 76 more Sears and Kmart stores

Every time they do this, I'm amazed that the one here in NJ doesn't get closed. It's stunning, the parking lot is empty every day, you can wander the store and only run into a couple of shoppers. It's been like that for a long time. Every time they close some, I always wonder how much worse the others could be that are closing? This time it's finally on the list. Which is kind of sad, I guess. I hardly ever go there, it's once in a blue moon if I happen to need a tool they have, that's about it. Even that, I hardly go, Harbor Freight usually has what I need and for the price of one or two Craftsman, you get a whole set.

Their online store is a real shit show. I was there looking for a big flat screwdriver blade socket bit last week. It's just as screwed as it was 5 years ago. If you go on Ebay and search for that it gives you good results, the bit you want. At Sears, it returns 3,000 things, anything with the word "blade", "socket", "screwdriver", "bit", etc. How do they expect to sell anything when you can't find it?

Do they still do Craftsman tool swaps if you have a bad one? I have a ratchet that's been giving me fits. If they do, i better get over there before they close the doors for good.

Sears sold the Craftsman brand, last year, to Stanley Black and Decker for $900 million. The lifetime warranty on hand tools is still valid.

I looked at their website to see if there are still any Sears stores in Tyler, Texas. The site shows 2 stores there, but one shows an address in Miami, Florida.
