We have a pipe that runs from the toilet to another system. The pipe is covered with rust. It's probably cast iron because of the age of the house.
I and my wife are too old to go weird with all the different cleaning methods we find on the Web. We need some simple solution. Something that can be sprayed on the pipe and dissolve the rust. We can hire someone else to do the cleaning, scraping, whatever.
I see many different "rust cleaners" on the Web, but what I'm worried about is which ones really work. Has anyone dealt with this problem before? Do someone know of a rust remover which really works?
I might add that the pipe cannot be removed. The joints are much to rusted.
