How long can you leave a few roof tiles out of place on your property (they were blow off by the wind), before you have problems with rain damage?

Until the next rain fall.
Perhaps a long time. Here (Florida), we have mostly tile roofs. The tiles do not seal but protect the tar paper that is underneath. As long as the paper and seams are intact, there will be no leaks.
