My mom had gotten these cool removable toilet seats from Sears ca 1975 that basically had a lengthwise c-section in back, and when you raised the seat it just came off.
Can't find same, and the sprockets in the current removables seem flimsy by comparison.
Any clues how to find or which current are best?
Kohler makes a seat that is easily removed. Just pull forward and the clips let go.

I have the Bemis Alesio. No slam. It is quick release but I never yet took it off. It is nice looking.
There are geriatric ones that work that way. It's not exactly what you're looking for but might give you some ideas.
I installed a removable seat some years back- but got rid of if soon after.
Quite convenient for cleaning the toilet-- but it wiggled around while being used for its intended purpose. Especially bad during the final operation prior to standing/pulling up your pants ;-)

I don't know if all parts of this are true -- probabl an exaggeration at least -- and maybe I don't know what they refer to as mental illness having a stigma because I'm thinking stigma is my application of the word. That is maybe people treated mentally ill worse than the situation demanded, or they suspected the whole family, even cousins, just because of one person with problems. I've never done that.
AFAIC, for example, it 's not immoral for someeone to mental illness but even if it's only depression, if a prospective employer knows about it, it makes sense not to hire him. There is a higher than average chance he won't get the work done, or even that he'll not concentrate and do it wrong. Unless of course his references say that's not so.
When Fedderman said that he was iirc depressed, they compared it with Thoomas Eagelton who was the nominee for VP with iirc McGovern, but he resigned and was replaced. The network news iirc said, We've come a long way. They didn't say it but I took it to mean Fedderman was treated much better and thus Eagleton wouldn't have to resign now. That's poppycock. An enormous difference between 1 senator out of 100, versus 1 vp who would become president if McGovern died. The first is not a concern. The second is much too risky.
