They are certainly coming down here to get away from it all and then bring it all with them. My little town is overrun with people who think we should do things like they did up north.

Yeah, we used to get a lot of that here, particularly with the more stupid english that migrated here because things were a lot better here for them than back in england, who were actually stupid enough to believe that we should do things the way they were done in england.

She would have stayed in Allentown Pa until she was 88 if I hadn't moved to Baltimore, but here it was warm enough for her.

(lightning capital of the US) We have 12 foot alligators everywhere only controlled by the 20' snakes. The waters are full of sharks and flesh eating virus and we have cockroaches the size of your thumb. Nobody in their right mind would move here. Spread the word.

Snakes and gators ain't no big thing. Those microscopic flying fangs that attacked me at Fort Clinch State Park when the sun went down are something else altogether. It was so bad I slept in my car, a big black Plymouth. That was fine times when the sun came up.

As far as I'm concerned Florida only has one real show stopper, that massive 345' high mountain that I never could find. I'm a hillbilly born and bred and I get nervous in the flatland.

Britton Hill. It is not publicized to it does not become over run with tourists. If everyone knew where it was, there would be climber deaths on it just like Everest this year.

Sugarloaf Mountain is the highest point on the peninsula at 312 feet. People come from all over the world to climb it.

Yeah, that's the one. I was looking back in the '80s before GPS. I probably circled it going up into Alabama and back into Florida but I didn't notice any signs. It has the distinction of being the lowest high point in the US.

I've been on some high points if they're interesting but I'm not OCD enough to collect them. For example, the highest point in Kentucky is Black Mountain but it's also a working coal mine. Clingmans Dome in Tennessee has this weird 1/2 mile concrete trail up to an observation tower.

I'm never going to do Montana's either. A friend said he's done it twice once without a rope and once with and would never do it again without a rope. That's not a recommendation for me.

Nothing available in my neighborhood but he wants to move to our lower county where property taxes are half mine. When I asked a guy that lives there why his house as big as mine had half the tax he said, "What party runs your county and what party runs mine?"

Also as far as home ownership with county rules here someone told me that a contractor told him that it costs $25,000 less for him to build a house down state.

Don't know if this will last forever as we are a blue state and they are working their damnedest to ruin it.

I knew a guy from Maine that got transferred to the Texas gulf. Every day it was running from house AC to car AC to work AC. Twice a year he had to leave the house for the exterminator. He hated it.
