For some reason I'm on the mailing list of a plastic surgeon, a legitimate one, and today I got this:
Do you have a wide lower face?
Consider participation in a masseter muscle prominence clinical research study. A clinical research study is enrolling participatns [sic. I've always wanted to say that.] to evaluate an investigatinal [sic] study intervention to reduce a wide lower face.
To qualify, you must meet these criteria:
Be at least 18 years of age Have a wide lower face Must be available for a total of 15 study visits over a period of approximately 12 month
All study-related care will be provided at no cost. Compensation for time and travel may be available. For more information, email Nancy@.....
I've never heard of anyone with a wide lower face!! Certainly not one that was a problem. The email included pictures of a man and woman, and they looked fine to me. In fact if their lower faces were any narrower, they have Narrow Lower Face.
(I'd never even heard of a lower face before, but I guess I know what it is.)
Have you ever come across this? As a problem?
In the graphic it called it Masseter muscle prominence study.
